LiPo element calibrator
The LiPo calibrator built is a very simple circuit based on the LM317, one resistor and one trimmer that can give a voltage from 4 to 4.5V. The trimmering range (around the point of start) should be minimezed in order to have a very good and easy adjustement with a standard multiturn trimmer. If the user has a very precise and stable power supply or another adjustable power supply (capable to be trimmered at 4.200V) it can be used to calibrate the LiPo balancer element.[more]

This is a precision battery discharger for 8.4V 7-cell Ni-Cad or Ni-MH batteries. The project made a cheap, reliable discharger circuit with an easy visual indication of the battery’s state (discharging or discharged) with less than 10$ of parts. COMBATT: THE NICAD DISCHARGER.
The COMBATT is a NiCad discharger.It is quite simple in its operation, your NiCad pack is simply discharged through a large 50 watt resistor. As the NiCad discharges, your computer ’samples’ the voltage of the battery pack on load, and marks a series of red points on your screen, i.e. it draws a line. At the point when the pack voltage just dips below 1 volt per cell (4 volts for 4 cells, 8 volts for 8 cells and so on) your computer will automatically stop the discharge of the pack.[more]
